Researches have noted that panda bears that have given birth to live young live longer in the wild. Therefore, these researches have concluded that giving birth to live young increases a panda's lifespan.

The argument makes which of the following assumptions?

A. Pandas that have given birth to live young will not be killed by predators.
B. Since male pandas cannot give birth, female pandas live longer than male pandas.
C. Pandas that are already likely to live longer are also not more likely to give birth to live young.
D. Female pandas are not likely to die while giving birth.
E. Pandas that have given birth to multiple live young are likely to live even longer than pandas that have given birth to only a single live offspring.

Option A - INCORRECT.
''Pandas that have given birth to live young will not be killed by predators''. This statement may not be true if not it would have being stated as one of the reasons why a panda will live long.

Option B - INCORRECT.
The statement in this option can also be an assumption only when research is carried out on it and proven as fact. Hence, for this discussion it does not adequately fit in for the assumption in this reasoning.

Option C - CORRECT.
This option has proven to summarize the assumption in this discussion base on the research carried out on panda bears. Pandas bears that are already likely to live longer are the female pandas since they can reproduce to live longer. They are also not more likely to give birth to live young if they have lived the Average life expectancy.

Option D - INCORRECT.
Every animal find its comfort zone when trying to give birth, therefore, Female pandas are not likely to die while giving birth if they are in their comfort zone.

Option E - INCORRECT.
This option is almost an adequate assumption base on the information gathered from the researcher, but has failed to prove its claim on how many live young a panda has to give birth to before it can live longer.
