Thanks for your post. You certainly have a strong profile with a great career trajectory and solid GMAT. Your weak area is your extracurricular activities. While this certainly isn't a deal breaker, you do want to try to flesh out this area of your profile a bit. Perhaps you have some personal interests or hobbies that you pursue on a regular basis? Think about activities that you might be able to mention in your essays. This will be critical since your essays are the only opportunity for you to truly stand out in the applicant pool.

While I agree that an MBA isn't necessary for everyone, there are certain careers where it is a necessity in order to keep moving up the ladder. In your case you are correct, you do fall into a rather large applicant pool. That being said, I agree that compelling essays may indeed be enough for you to be successful. As I mentioned above, your essays are how you'll stand out in the pool - how you'll get noticed and remembered. Many of my clients come to me for this very purpose. They have strong credentials, but fall into a large pool and need help setting a strategy to stand out and succeed.
