I did MBA 5 years back from a college in India,I cracked CAT to get the admission. Since then I have been working in IT Industry as Business Analyst. Now I am planning to do some course to propel my career and make it big. How it would be to do Executive MBA from a world class Institute? Please share your thoughts and help me in making my career decision.

Hi Amit,

That's a tough one... for many top MBA programs, even EMBAs, they will be hesitant to accept you when you already have an MBA. But it does happen, not out of reach... you'd really have to make a strong case for why you need ANOTHER MBA degree, even if from a better institution etc. Also EMBAs often require 8-10 years of experience and most are set up so you continue working with the support of your company during the program, so you'd want to do more research and see if that makes sense for you. And finally and probably most importantly, I would suggest focusing on what your longer term goals ARE and then determining what the best way to get there is... vs focusing on a degree and hoping it helps generally. If possible speak with professionals in the types of roles you hope to obtain in the future and get THEIR thoughts on the best path to get there. Good luck to you!
