I am interested in applying to following schools: -
- Indian School of Business
- INSEAD
- Kellogg Business School
- NYU Stern Business School
- NUS Business School
- Nanyang Business School

Can you let me know if I stand a chance at any of the schools mentioned above? Your thoughts are really appreciated. Thanks

Grad - 66.67% (Commerce)
MBA - 8.42 / 10 (Marketing) - wish to pursue MBA again for global exposure

GMAT: 650 (Q 47, V31) / AWA - 5.00 (first attempt)

Work experience: 4.5 years in Banking & Financial Services

MSGMAT,

Thanks for your note. While the GMAT score is only one of several elements of your admissions profile, I worry that your 650 GMAT score will make it difficult for you to be a competitive candidate at top schools like Insead, Kellogg and NYU. I would either retake the test and get a 700+ score or I would expand your school list.

Even with a higher GMAT score, you will need to stand out from the other bankers applying - be sure to highlight your leadership and impact at work. Ideally you would also take steps to bolster your extracurricular activities.
