Hi MBAfall2010,

Thanks for your post. Please see my comments below:

GMAT : 750 AWA : 5.0
Work Ex : 2 years before I join B school.
GPA : 8.6/10

Academically speaking you are in good shape. Your GMAT score is above average for the programs you are considering. Your GPA is solid. I don't anticipate any concerns among this portion of your application.

Extra Curriculars : Volunteered & Participated in a good number of activities in college fests etc, but not been involved in any one activity for a long time.

Have you been involved in any extracurricular activities since graduating? What other personal interests or hobbies do you enjoy on a regular basis? Extracurricular activities are a great way to distinguish yourself in the applicant pool. You mentioned that you have not yet had a leadership opportunity through your job so I strongly suggest that you seek out opportunities to demonstrate your leadership skills through extracurricular activities.

I'm working with one of the best IT companies in the world, however, I haven't had any opportunity to demonstrate any leadership skills.
I graduated from one of the second tier engineering colleges in India with a degree in Computer Science.

To clarify, you have just one year of work experience under your belt at this time? Why is it that you wish to attend business school? What are your short and long term goals?

The schools I'm targeting are as below:
Johnson
Darden
Kellogg
Kenan Flagler
Georgia Tech
Goizueta, Emory
Tepper

Do I stand a realistic chance at these schools?
Also, are there any b schools that may give me a scholarship?

Can you provide me with detailed information around your goals and work experience to date? This will help me get a better sense of your profile.

Thanks,

Stacey
