If n is a positive integer and r is the remainder when (n-1)(n-2) is divided by 24,wat is the value of r?
1)2 is not a factor of n
2)3 is not a factor of n

According to conditions in C, n =5,,7,11,13......

if n=5, then (5-1)(5-2) / 24 , r= 12

if n=7 then (6)(5) /24 , r =6

if n=11 then (10)(9) / 24 r=18

I dont think C can be the ans

Hi Tejaswini,

The question u've posted is wrong ...it actually shld say '.....r is a remainder when (n-1)(n+1) is divided by 24....'.

That way you'll get the answer 'c', if u apply plug in in solution posted by reachac.
