680 is a good starting score in MGMAT.

You're right, questions are much tougher than GMATPrep for quants. But practicing quants with MGMAT really helps during actual exam. For me, after practicing with MGMAT quants (which is ridiculously difficult) i found the real GMAT little easier to tackle.

I'm not a great fan of their verbal questions though. Especially CR and RC. Some answers were not really convincing to me even after i read their explanations multiple times. Answers are debatable to some extent. But it's still good for practice.

As per now I am going to practice Manhattan GMAT tests first and then go to GMATPrep.

What should reasonable score in MGMAT tests for achieving a target of 700+.
I gave my first CAT test and it was terrible. I scored 550. Maths section couldn't attend last 9-10 questions.

I faced difficulty in verbal questions.oops it scared me a lot.

I believe verbal questions were not that tough.Though i made some careless mistakes. Was not much attentive. But quite possible that be i am wrong.

According to the rep from MGMAT, their standard error is 50 points. That means that of those who take an MGMAT test, 68% will score within 50 points of that score on the real test. So basically, if they're right about that figure, you would most likely score between 500 and 600 on the real GMAT today. Because 700 is 3 standard deviations from your MGMAT score, the probability of you scoring 700 right now on the real test would be about 0.13%...Or about one in 770.

If you want a greater than 50% chance of scoring above 700 on the real GMAT, I think you'll need to be scoring in the 700's on the MGMAT.

Well what inkybinky has mentioned is absolutely right in my opinion. You need to score atleast in the lower 700's to target a 700 in the real exam.

You seem to be struggling with quants. Are you comfortable with the concepts? If not, i suggest that you spend some time with the concepts. Don't jump deep into the questions immediately unless you are comfortable with basics.
