Regarding admissions for the year 2013

by Tinkster » Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:17 am
Hello Sameer,

I gave my GMAT in Dec 2012 and scored 730. Q 50, V 40.

I have done my btech from IITM , with average passing out CPI(percentage). (I would like to say worst).
I have close to 6+ years exp in Consulting/Analytics - Pretty good experience for MBA , I think.Details on this later.

What are the schools I should be looking at?

Should I retake the GMAT as I think I can improve my verbal score? Also, can I ditch the second score if its less than this? Would it be too much of an effort again to give GMAT the second time? or should I focus on preparing for interviews, profile etc.,

Waiting for your response,
Thanks.

Hi,

Really don't understand that why do you wish to write your GMAT again. You scores are pretty impressive & with 6+ yrs. of work experience, you are in a perfect stage of your career which mostly b-schools look for. You can try your chances in b-school by clicking https://www.general-ed.com/chances-of-bschool

Rather than preparing & writing your GMAT again, I would strongly recommend you to focus on application essays & demonstrate professional achievements and headship qualities during final interviews. What if you score less? :(

Let me know in case of any other conserns you might have. You can also PM your number to discuss over your profile & selection of b-schools.

Best,
Yash
