B wouldtry to make NOUN phrase paralel to prep phrase.. also in this case the OF in 'of many of the...' Cannot modify "centre" so OF makes no sense

E is wromg because it changes the meaning although gramatically correct
Tje original theory is "that a black hole lies at the centre..." The theory is about black holes lying somewhere
E makes the theory into "a theory about a black whole".. just about a black hole that lies somewhere.. where it lies is not included as part of the theory!
