Perhaps you can help me with the issue of rec letters.
For the past 3 years I was running a small business in the field of construction (flood and fire damage restoration). I joined the owner shortly after incorporation, and essentially "made it happen" for him.
Today it's a company of 5 people with over $300K annual revenue
Is it best to have the company owner, whose "right hand" I was for these years to write the letter? or is it better to find someone from outside the company, maybe an organization I was involved with or someone else to write it?
I sounds to me like a letter from the owner would be most effective, but some people are telling me that a letter from an owner of such a small company will not be taken seriously, and it's better to find someone with a "louder name"
