A - incorrect, the modifier "reared apart from each other" describes "a recent United States study"
B - incorrect, this time "reared apart from each other" modifies "striking similarities" and not twins
C - the clause "that include many idiosyncrasies of behavior" is placed next to twins but it should be describing "striking similarities"
D - the best option available
E - this answer sounds as if "striking similarities" "were reared apart from each other" (the modifier should be placed next to "twins")
