Of course the official guide is the best resource for verbal practice. So make sure that you have both the Official Guide 12th edition and the Verbal Review 2nd edition from GMAC.

In addition to those books what you really need is some help with a good technique that helps you to focus at the correct level throughout the passage and to understand the types of questions.

I am completely biased since I teach for Veritas Prep, so I will just link you to the following reviews by Beat the GMAT staff.
