Re: Quant resources for targetting 700 +

Hi,

I have done through OG-11 Quant. The plan is to do OG-12,but recently I have seen some posts that say quant level is much higher in the actual exam than in OG's. So, I looking for some pointers that would help to me prepare for good quant score. I understand MGAMT strategy guides are more of strategy and concepts and they refer to OG for actual problems. I am actually looking for problem sets that are more representative of atcual GMAT.

Appreciate your inputs.

Manhattan Advance quant is really awesome along with manhattan challenge archive..

According to me these two are the best 700+ resources for quant.

Hi
We'll second Avik on his suggestion. Apart from this, most of the problems/questions on these books are from previous GMAT exams so you shouldn't worry about the "actual" part More on the "actual" part we'll suggest you to create real-time environment of GMAT exam on your own with the truly timed.
Wishing you all the best for your preparation and exams. If you've any other queries please let us know, we'll be happy to assist you.

Thanks to AviK and Kavitha for your suggestions. I assume the MGMAT advanced quant book is not a strategy book but rather concept and questions book. What is MGMAT challenge archive? Is is a online resource by MGMAT that I can get access to if I buy advanced quant book?
Any feed back on Kaplan 800? I read somewhere that its a rehash(selected portions) of the Kaplan premier. Is that true?

Kavitha,

Not sure what you meant by the questions present in advanced quant book are old gmat problems. I actually infer that they are not, otherwise MGMAT guys must have access to something that GMAC did not pubish in their OG's.
Yes, timing and enduring through the exam are challenges that I need to train my self for.

Thanks.

MGMAT challenge archive is a question bank.

MGMAT advance quant is an awesome strategy guide and contains really good questions.

I cannot comment on kaplan 800 ( kaplan advanced ). I have just started doing this book. I have completed the SC questions from there and its really good - it have to be since it is kaplan. But Maths questions are not so good, from the name of the book - advance, compared to MGMAT advanced or MGMAT challenge archive.
