Hello all,

Starting today, I plan to post one link for an article from various content rich websites for the prospective GMATTERs like you and me to discuss 3 main points of the article:

1) Main Point of the author
2) Central Idea of Passage
3) Tone of Passage/Author

I believe this will help enrich our understanding in tackling passages with wide variety of content matter.

04/22/09:

https://www.economist.com/books/displays ... d=13484693

Main Point (MP):
Critiquing works of 3 authors on their books about South Africa's post democracy politics

Central Idea (CI):
South Africa is treading on the wrong path of action since the independence

Tone of Author (TP/TA):
Overall view of 3 books: Skeptical
First 2 authors: skeptical on their views and pessimism
3 author: admires for the +ve things the author has to say

I hope others to join this thread. I will post another article tomorrow to have a lively discussion.[/b]
