RC: Strategy advice

Expert replies

Hello,

So after studying for about a month, I think I am finally at ease with RC. I say this because even though I do indulge in light reading,I was never be able to grasp the contents of the passage completely. My accuracy at this point is around 80-90% and the only type of questions that I get wrong are the 'abstract questions'- Author's point, inference etc. Is there an effective strategy to be able to these kind of questions in the stipulated time frame? Thanks.

When it comes to solving Inference Questions, you need to make sure that you choose an answer that is not too far from what is given in the passage but also does not repeat the information given. It is always a good idea to rephrase answer choices to understand them better.
