A pound of commercial fertilizer occupies from 20 to 25 cubic inches, while a pound of humus occupies from 40 to 55 cubic inches. What is the maximum ratio of the amount of commercial fertilizer to humus in a 2 ton truck carrying equal amounts of each?

(A) 1/2
(B) 4/11
(C) 5/8
(D) 5/11
(E) 9/19

Please solve !!

the q is asking for max ratio , for it to be true the numerator needs to have max possible value and denominator min possible

in this case max possible value for Numerator is 25
and that for denominator is 40

hence the reqd ratio is 25/40----->5/8
