Following are DS questions from GmatPrep. Need help on them.

Q1. Is the measure of one of the interior angles of quadrilateral ABCD equal to 60 degrees?

1. Two of the interior angles of ABCD are right angles
2. The degree measure of angle ABC is twice the degree measure of angle BCD


Q2. m & r are 2 numbers on a number line. What is the value of r?

1. The distance between r & 0 is 3 times the distance between m & 0
2. 12 is halfway between m & r


Q3. If set S consists of the numbers 1, 5, -2, 8 & n, is 0<n<7 ?

1. The median of numbers in S is less than 5
2. The median of numbers in S is greater than 1


Q4. For manufacturer M, the cost C if producing X unitsof its product per month is given by C= kx + t, where C is in dollars & k&t are constants. Last month, if manufacturer M produced 1000 units of its product & sold all the units for k+60 dollars each, what was manufacturer M's gross profit on the 1000 units?

1. Last month, if manufacturer M's revenue from the sale of the 1000 units was $1,50,000
2. Manufacturer M's cost of producing 500 units in a month is $45,000 less than its cost of producing 1000 units in a month

so sum of other two = 180

can answer
insuff

one angle is twice other
again INSUFF

angles can only be 90 90 45 135
or

so ans is E

we can not find t from here

B)
500k+t + 45000 = 1000k + t
we can find K but not t

we can solve for t
so answer is C

If 12 is halfway between m and r, then either r or m is positive
r=?

from (1) |r|>|m|
12 (positive) is halfway between m and r, so r>0. So,
r-12=12-m

if m>0
r-12=12-m, 3m-12=12-m, 4m=24, m=6, r=18

if m<0
r-12=12-m, -3m-12=12-m, -2m=24, m=-12 so r=3|m|=3*|-12|=36

r=18 and r=36

For gross profit we need to know that Revenue - Cost.

(1)
revenues was number of units * sale price: 1000*(k+60) = 150,000. that's mean that k=90. we still don't have T so we can know the Cost. INSUFF

(2)
the cost of producing 500 units:
500k + t
the cost of producing 1000 units:
1000k + t

and from the information we know that 500k + t + 45000 = 1000k + t. and that's again k=90.
INSUFF


(1) & (2):
we can't still know t, so we can't compute the cost or the profits.
INSUFF

I have a question for 4meonly regarding Q4. Why cant we use the information k=90 derived from statement I, in statement II? If we can, then the answer should be C and not E.
Although I know that the OA is E, I am still curious to know why?
