Greetings all - I just got done taking the 1st of 2 full length tests using the GMATPrep software. It said my total score was a 730, and my breakdown says:

Q: 37 questions. 11 wrong
V: 41 questions. 6 wrong

Question #1) I didn't note what my scaled scores for each section were.. and I can't seem to backtrack to find this info :oops:. Is there any way to calculate / approximate them?

Question #2 - How good of a measuring stick is the GMATPrep score vs. what one could expect to get on the actual GMAT? Is it relatively close (+/- 20 points?) Or is it usually way off (and therefore I should just be using it to familiarize myself with the test structure)?

I plan to take the GMAT in ~3 weeks time. I think I remember seeing a bundle of 3 PDF's with full length tests on the official MBA website

Question #3 - in addition to the GMATprep software, would these PDF's be a good resource to study before the test? (I'm already using an older Princeton Review book as well as "The official guide for GMAT review"). If not - what other resources should I look into for good/accurate full length tests?

1. You can't approximate the scaled scores, since there are many factors that combine when calculating them: difficulty of question, number of question etc. Unfortunately you can't go back and see the scores. It's a glitch in the software, I suppose.

2. It's the most accurate thing out there. I scored 760 on GMATprep the day before my real test. The next day I got 770.

3. I think the OG (and maybe the companion books as well) will suffice. It's plenty of material to keep you busy for the next three weeks. I haven't used the three tests myself.
