imo:A

8= 2^3

96= 2^5 * 3

substituting,


(8^2)(3^3)(2^4)]/96^2= (2^3)^2 * 3^3 * 2^4/ (2^5 * 3 ) 2
= (2^6) * 3^3 * 2^4 / 2^10 * 3^2

= 2^10 * 3^3 / 2^10 * 3^2

= 3

= (2^3)^2 (3^3) (2^4) / (6^2) (16^2)
= (2^6)(3^3)(2^4) / (2^2)(3^2)(2^4)(2^4)
= (2^10)(3^3) / (2^10)(3^2)
= (2^10-10)(3^3-2)
= (1)(3) = 3 is the answer..
