Can anyone explain this to me?

Is N divisible by 12?

1. N/6 is an integer

2. N/4 is an integer

1) n is divisible by 6 so n is a multiple of 4, but we lack a 2 to make it a factor of 12
2) n is divisible of 4, so n is a multiple of 4, but we lack a 3

together n is a multiple of 3 and 4 so it is divisible by 12

Should be C) too

1) N/6 = integer meaning 6 is a factor / no remainder for division.

N could be 12 (which works with 12/12... but!) could also be 18 (which doesn't divide into 12 fully)

2) N/4
N could be 4, 8, 12, 16. Only 12 divides into 12.

Not sufficient.

Consider C/E

N/6 factor of 6 (1,2,3,6)
N/4 factor of 4 (1,2,2,4)

12 is (1,2,3,4,6,12) which is part of that # group.
