I know that no one knows the official algorithm and that the scores are determined not only by how many questions you get correctly but also the difficulty of those questions, but my question is can you give me an estimate of the maximum amount of questions one could miss in order to get a Q 50 and V 50?

I can only guess based on the GMATPrep software, but I once missed four questions on the quant section, and still got a 51. (I also know for certain that I missed at least two on the real GMAT quant last time, and still got a 51.) So I'm guessing that you could miss as many as six on the quant section and still get a 50, but... well, you know the caveats: it depends on which questions you miss, not just on how many questions you miss.

I'm pretty sure that the margin for error is much slimmer on the verbal section. On the GMATPrep, I've missed exactly one question--and still only scored a 48 or 49. Maybe I would've had a 50 if I'd missed a different question, but I suspect that you might have to be perfect on the verbal to get a 50.
