I don't know much about the application process or how consulting works, and i dont even know if this is in the right, but i have a question, and it might be stupid, but i dont know have really any experience with the process.
. Do consulting services help pick out graduate programs with you or do you have to have some schools in mind beforehand and then they help with all the other stuff? I don't want to be doing nothing after I take my GMAT so I figure if grab a head start on the application process.

Well, they can help, but really you will be doing yourself an injustice if you go into the process uninformed. Working with my clients, I see that those who have done the research and know their goals get more out of the consulting. Of course lots of people some to us totally overwhelmed by the masses of possibilities, and then we can help advise you where to look, where to do your research, how to make schools with your needs, and personality. But like I wrote, the best results will come when you help out as well!
