Stmt: Cindy drove her car 290 miles, rounded to the nearest 10 miles and used 12 gallons of gas, rounded to the nearest gallon.

In the Ans Exp, it says, 284 to 295 round off to 290 miles and 11.4 to 12.5 round off to 12 gallons. Now am I crazy or should that say 285 to 294 and 11.5 to 12.4.

I'm going crazy, please tell me i didn't forget basic rounding.

Thank you all!!!

I still dont get the AnExp. why miles can rage 284-295 instead of 285-294 where problem states Cindy traveled 290 miles rounded to the nearest 10 miles. Same goes with gasoline. Why 11.4 to 12.5 gallons instead of 11.5 to 12.4?

Can anybody tell me what I am missing here?

Thanks.
