Hi Sh_QR,
This DS question can be solved with a combination of math and TESTing VALUES.
We're asked for the |X|.
Fact 1: X = -|X|
From this Fact, we know that X CANNOT be POSITIVE (for example, 2 does NOT equal -|2|).
IF....
X = 0
0 = -|0| and the answer to the question is |0| = 0
IF...
X = -1
-1 = -|-1| and the answer to the question is |-1| = 1
Fact 1 is INSUFFICIENT
Fact 2: X^2 = 4
This means that X can equal 2 or -2. While many Test Takers might think that this is insufficient, you have to remember what the question ASKS for...
|2| = 2
|-2| = 2
So either way, the answer IS 2.
Fact 2 is SUFFICIENT
Final Answer: B
