I am just about to start my preparation for the GMAT. I plan to give it in late december or early January. Could someone please tell me the important topics in quant that one should concentrate on. (the topics with the most weightage)

Also, is there any quant book that gives explanation topic wise and then gives sums on that topic for GMAT....

Pick any reputed GMAT related book and it should cover the Quant topics you need to study. Official guides 11th or the latest 12th edition covers all the Math topics in the syllabus
I think GMAT math covers upto 10th grade. (Excluding trigonometry, logarithms etc.)

https://www.beatthegmat.com/a/books should help.
