Today, I did a GMAT and there were 2 questions that I couldn't get my head around: They were:

1) √5 / √40 - The question was to simplify this to its basic form.

2) If a +b = 1, then what is (1-a)(1-b) equal to. The choices were roughly whether it is equal to 0, 1, 1-ab and 2 other answers I can't remember now.

Any assistance would be great even though I know this is limited information.

1)√5 / √40 = 1 / √8
= 1/2√2

Can you post the answer choices so dat it becomes clear as to what simplification form do dey want??

2) a+b = 1
Thus, a=1-b
and b=1-a
So,(1-a)(1-b) = ab

Can you post the answer choices??

Unfortunately, I didn't remember the answer choices as the pressure of GMAT exam really got to me!
