The day started fine, was all relaxed when i started the test.

Practice materials

MGMAT 8 books
Kaplan Advanced
OG 12
800 score AWA

Please do suggest any further reading material.

My practice scores were around the 600-650 mark all the time. Q40-45 V30-35. i really need to improve on my average scores as well .

Another point to note was that somehow I was not very serious on the tests. I also attribute my failure to my lackadaisical attitude on the practice. However I picked up pace and vigor in the last few weeks.

Quant seemed like a breeze for the first 20 odd questions, but I missed the link somewhere and got too engrossed in one question. I am not sure why I was hell bent on getting the question right. I forgot somehow that I can let some questions go wrong and still do well.

Verbal started, I kind of overspent my break time by 2 minutes. My biggest mistake. I lost track in between, and all hell broke loose. i kind of guessed almost 12 questions.

There was not any place where I felt that i did not know the answer to a question, so I am assuming that I was not short of preparation, but very very short on timing management.

I really need to take care of my timings. I am going to retake the exam in a months time. i reaaly really ned to imporve on my timing.

I made a mistake by not really participating in the forum , was being more of a silent spectator.

But i have decided to set things right and be an active memeber till actually take the GMAT by its HORNS.

I will be making a firmer timetable and strictly follow it and book the date only after I start scoring consistently along with time discipline!

I have access to 5 MGMAT tests, 2 GMAC tests, loads of paper based material.

Do you suggest any further tests. or books that I could make use of to improve my standards on the GMAT?

I was thinking of taking help of SC Grail , LSAT materials for CR n RC.

Suggestions are always welcome. :)

Hope to post a better success story in this forum soon. :)

You have the correct material with you, I think practice from here would take long way....so a decent amount of practice and keeping and eye on your improvemnts will fetch high scores for you.

My suggession before retaking atleast check 5 -7 mock test and then you must go ahead.
