D because the above only gives information about the working families, and concludes based on that.
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

Don't like any of the answers. The stimulus talks about "the proportion of minorities among families that own their own homes" and the data and answers both address "the proportion of minorities that own their own homes."

The former looks at all the families that own homes and says what share are minorities. The latter looks at minorities only and says what share of the minorities own their homes.

D is closer than the rest, but still would not get us the information needed unless we knew whether the proportion of minorities in the population had changed over the years. Even knowing what happened to home ownership among non-minorities wouldn't help if the proportion of minorities overall had changed significantly.

This is same as one of the OG questions in which % of women in workforce in one year is compared with the % of women in workforce in other year. Answer is D for this one.

I was skeptics about A and D.

1978
-------------------own home---------------doesn't own home---------total
Minority----------44.8-----------------------55.2-------------------------100
Non-Minority
Total

2003
-------------------own home---------------doesn't own home---------total
Minority----------44.6-----------------------55.4-------------------------100
Non-Minority
Total

Option A is not required. D is some what helpful.
