Bob gave ride Tom to home and he left.

Bob is the subject of the first part of the sentence.

So can we assume that he is used correctly in the second part of the sentence ?

if i saw this on test day i would mark it off as ambiguous

well, I would look for other potential errors first

However, per me , "He " is not ambiguous...Bob is in the subject..so he should be addressed using a subject pronoun

If anything related to were to be mentioned about Tom, would use "object "pronoun as Tom here is an object

This is my take...

I agree with you. I think "he " is not ambiguous here.

Bob gave ride Tom to home and (BOB) left.

X did A and X did B

while "he" clearly refers to Bob, if Bob was giving Tom a ride home.
However, uttering this sentence aloud in public will be ill advised... poorly constructed sentence imho...

This applies to all OAs ..they are just correct in writing..and not used in practice
