Hey guys , i m new to this forum, i m current working in steel manufacturing industry
having work ex of almost 2 years. Completed my B.Tech in 2008 with 74.33%,
with good cu-curricular activities .
I m planning to give Gmat within 2-3 months as i screwed
up my cat paper. As i m new to gmat plzz tell me from where i have to start preparing, wht things i
need to keep in mind ?? my quant section is very strong , but have some difficulty in CR. n have gr8
problem in AWA.
Also tell me marking scheme of gmat? whether it include AWA or not?

I would suggest getting the PowerScore Critical Reasoning Bible for Critical Reasoning. That should help a lot. With AWA, hmmmm I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi,
I would suggest the Princeton Review Guide for Cracking the GMAT (something similar to that title) and this will give you a great overview of what the GMAT is and also what types of problems you can expect to see. Once you understand the basics, I would then suggest getting the Official Guide for GMAT Review (commonly referred to as OG) and this will give you hundreds of great practice problems. Also, do as many practice tests as you can. The GMAT is really all about practice.
These are my main strategies. 1) Understand what will be on the test, and 2) lots of practice.

You might also want to take a practice test to develop a baseline score.
