GMAT: 710 (V:35/M:49/AWA:4.0)
GPA: 3.2/4.0 business major (top 25 college in US)
Nationality: non-US citizen (international student)

Experience: management consulting firm & investment bank (total 3yrs) + founder (CEO) of media/contents provider company (2yrs)

Target schools: MIT, Chicago, Wharton, Columbia, Northwestern

My concern: low AWA and probably GPA

Dear gogobrotha,

Your GMAT and GPA are in range for your schools, and I think you have some interesting work experience. However, decisions are made on more than those components, so it is imperative you submit a great set of essays and recommendations. You need to distinguish yourself from the thousands of other applicants to your target schools. The quality of your essays can mitigate your AWA, so be sure to have a strong, well-written set.

Good luck,
Lisa
