Nationality: Indian
GMAT: 670
GPA: 3.4 (if I am not wrong in calculating it. I have 78.6% in undergrad in engineering, Topper of my batch)
Work ex: 2 years as software engineer with a big MNC
Have received many appreciations and award at work.
Also have many certificates of extra curricular activities at school and college level like sports and workshops.

Colleges I am interested in:
Stanford, MIT, Tuck, Nanyang... not sure about the colleges.
Please suggest where can I apply.

Dear usenet,

Generally speaking, you are most competitive where your GMAT and GPA are above the average for the school. Since your profile is over-represented in the global MBA applicant pool (Indian, software engineer), then it is even more critical for you to target schools where you will be highly competitive on many measures. With a 670, you would want to target schools with GMAT averages under a 670 to have the best chance for admission, assuming you also submit a great set of essays and recommendations. Stanford, Tuck, Nanyang, and MIT are highly selective and all have GMAT averages well over a 670, so your chances of admission there are slightly possible; however, I would definitely encourage you to consider applying to a few schools where your chances are more reasonable.

Thank you so much for replying.

I also wanna know if the GPA that is mentioned on the GMAT Score report is significant because I have mentioned my GPA as 3 in the report. But my GPA is around 3.5. How exactly do the schools check the GPA?

Also, could you please mention some colleges that would be best for me so that I can atleast get an idea of the kinds of colleges I can target.

Please help me!

Most schools use your transcript to verify your GPA that you report on the school's application. So, it is best to report your GPA accurately in all places, but especially on the school application and make sure it matches what your transcript shows.
