Dear All,

I want help to evaluate my profile for top 20 B-schools in the US.

Name: Dhruv Mangal
Nationality: Indian
10th Grade Marks: 91.0%
12th Grade Marke: 93.2%
Undergraduate CGPA: 7.54/10 (Computer Science Engineering, BITS Pilani Goa Campus)
Work Ex.: 2 years as Venue Technology Manager at Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010
GMAT:760(First Attempt)

I have been working at the Organizing Committee, Commonwealth Games Delhi since January 2009. Six months of it was a paid internship (part of my college curricular). Can this internship period be added to my work ex?

As a Venue Technology Manager in the Commonwealth Games I was handling technology infrastructure of one of the biggest stadium , used for the Opening and Closing ceremony and athletics during the games. I was also incharge of technology operations followed at the venue during the games. I got to work with international consultants from all over the world and got to be a part of the biggest international games after the Olympics.

I have been actively involved with community service all though college. I headed the ocal chapter of an NGO during college. I was actively involved in starting some employment generation plans for women and primary education project in an industrial slum. Even today I actively participate in activities of the NGO, although due to time constraints havent been as active as before.

I want to pursue MBA in Operations Management.

Please help me in accessing my profile for the top 20 b schools in the US and also furthur points that will help strengthen my profle since I have atleast a 6 months or more before I apply anywhere. I would also be interested in a scholarship and need pointer on that as well.

Thanks
Dhruv

Great GMAT and decent academics, but your WE is a little light. Standing out in your applicant pool is always a challenge, so I would focus on what separates you from the "typical" Indian applicant and present that information in a compelling way to the committee via well written essays.
