I’m just starting the think about business school and I'm signing up for a GMAT prep course through Manhattan GMAT later this month. I have a background in marketing/PR and would like to attend one of the top 5-10 marketing business schools.

Here is my bio:
- GPA, major, school
3.3, Marketing, University of California, Riverside, graduated in June 2004
- GMAT with breakdown

I have worked for the public relations department of THQ Inc for about 3 ½ years, starting as an intern in August 2004. In that time, I’ve been promoted to an entry-level coordinator, an associate manager, and I’m currently a manager (promoted May 2007). THQ Inc is a leading 3rd party publisher of interactive software (i.e. videogames) and in my position I build and execute PR strategies for some of the top videogame titles in the industry. Working in this cutting-edge business has taught me to think outside the box and develop strategies that reach our consumers beyond the normal means of advertising and promotion.

My questions for you are:
1. Is a 3.3 GPA considered a low average?
2. If so, what GMAT score (range) should I be aiming for?
3. How much does work experience come into play when applying to schools?
