Hi,

I'm looking into MBA and/or Masters in Finance programs for next year. I'm finishing my undergrad at the end of the month, so I'll probably get some more work experience, atleast during the summer. Anyways, my profile so far

- 3.2 overall GPA, McGill University, B.A. Honours Economics, Minors in Math and East Asian Studies
- GMAT 720 ,Q=47,V=41 (still waiting for AWA)
- 16 months worth of full time work experience (mostly from the summer)as Credit Risk Analyst at Bank of Montreal, Analyst at a canadian legal directory publication, Editorial Research Assistant for Thomson Carswell
- Awards: Ontario Scholar (Secondary School), IB, Brevet
- Extracurricular: Mentor for freshmen at McGill's First Year Office, English-Mandarin language exchange, Member of McGill's Economic Student Association and Film Club, recording + performing with several bands (check out my old band here www.keywitnessband.com, sorry about the ad!)

Anyways, if you could give me some suggestions for schools I should look into I would be grateful. Thanks!

Hi thecannuck,

Your GMAT score is strong, and it sounds like you have an interesting range of extracurriculars. Your GPA is fine, although for candidates straight out of undergrad there is perhaps more emphasis on the academics than for applicants with a track record at work.

Targeting college seniors is an increasing trend in top tier MBAs, and there are several other applicants on this forum in the same situation. This thread may be helpful: https://www.beatthegmat.com/which-top-sc ... t4774.html

Good luck!
