In my quick assessment of the limited information presented, I would think an executive program is more appropriate for you for several reasons. First, your level of experience is about average for the executive programs you are considering and much higher than a traditional, daytime program. There are advantages to being in class with your peers as MBA programs are designed so that students learn as much from each other as they do the professors. Second, the material is essentially the same, but in the executive program, it is taught with a more strategic focus as you are more likely to be pursuing opportunities at a higher level of management. Finally, if you apply to a daytime program, the first question will be why not an executive program, so you will need to show how the daytime is the better option for you. For most applicants with 10+ years of experience applying to daytime programs, they do so because they need an internship to make a career change, want to do a dual degree and full-time is the only way, or desire to learn more on the tactical versus strategic level (due to career change). I encourage you to visit a couple of the executive programs you are considering and see if you think they are the right fit for you. That is the best way to make your decision on which program is right for you.
