Hey there dude,

First of all, let me say that Peace Corps IS a job! So it DOES count to your work experience. How long have you been doing it? Cause school will still for the most part like to see 3 years of "work", and it will improve your chances. If your goal is to go to NGO stuff, then you can totally swing it with just peace corps experience though. Just make your goals specific and related to what you actually did.

Your GMAT is not bad but it COULD be higher, and if you haven't studied and taken the test at least three times I would totally urge you to do it. It can easily help you get either into a better school or land a stronger scholarship. So it's worth it.

Otherwise, even with a 620 if you apply to target + fall-back schools, then you should be fine with these (but like I wrote if you do better on the GMAT...

As an African American, if you have some involvement with minority communities you should also check out the Consortium: https://www.cgsm.org

Hope this helps!
