Hello, I'm a naturalized US citizen, 26 years old, graduated in 2005 with a degree in Economics. My GPA is 3.78 according to WES; TOEFL score is 106, and GMAT score is 660(V38,Q44). Right after graduating I moved to the US and have worked in hospitality industry since 2006. I worked in the hospitality industry only because i was trying to support my family that had relocated to the US before me, and had to put my family's interests above mine.
Since my work experience is irrelevant, I'm planning to apply to MBA programs that require little or no work experience. I live in Orlando, and here there are two decent schools that have MBA programs for people with little or no work experience, UCF and Rollins college.
What are my chances of getting into either of these programs?

Given the schools you're applying to aren't the ones typically talked about by everyone else here, you'd be hard pressed getting an answer from anyone.

My advice would be to call up these schools and have a chat with a admissions committee member. If you get the feeling that you aren't suitable, then don't apply. Otherwise apply and find out.

I would however caution you that getting a MBA isn't necessarily the game changer you might expect it to be. If you have no relevant business experience, and only a MBA degree, you're as valuable as someone with a BA majoring in Business Admin. You basically don't want to be stuck with huge business school debt and no job.

Rahim84,

You should have no trouble getting into either of these schools. It sounds like you think that business schools only admit people who have "relevant" (to their goals) work experience, but that's not the case. When they say they want four or so years of work experience, they do mean any work experience, though of course they place a premium on leadership experience, an upward career trajectory etc. Given your GPA and GMAT score, you could aim higher. If you need or want to stay in Florida, you could consider U. of Florida. Your 660 is in their range.
