Hi,

I will be giving my GMAT in June and would like you to evaluate my profile

Background

I am an Indian.I am working with TalentRecruit (a IT product start up ) as General Manager. I am having 3.8 years of experience.
I will be applying in September R1 deadlines
The following are the top schools I want to apply
1. Harvard Business School ( Because they have a strong General Management Program)
2. Tuck school of business
3. Darden school of business
4. chicago booth
5. London Business School

Under grad: B.Tech from MDU ( Maharishi Dayanad University)
CGPA: 6.8/10 (Also was running my own company with the undergrad)
Achievements: Build 2 startups from scratch to recognizable brands. My current company when I joined had 4 clients , now after a year we have 60 most premium clients along with No.1 brand recognition in Indian Recruitment software market. Involved in VC funding process for expansion.
I run day to day operations of the company with all department reporting to me.
Awarded best performer through out the year.
My previous company I was part of the founding team and we built company to a million dollar firm in 1 year with 3 offices with the starting capital of 2000 USD.

At college level, I won awards in entrepreneurship initiatives and headed entrepreneurship club.

I worked in my family business from age of 11 for 7 years.

Community experience:

I am a Rotarian ( Rotary International ) . Ran pulse polio campaigns as well as helping in managing a charitable hospital where the people who have financial constraints get consultation at .16 USD.
Organized career consultation for unprivileged children.

In short term I want to work in General/Product management role for firms like Apple, Google
In long term I want to my own company focusing on innovative technology. Also I want to build something for NGO's using technology which could help the community in a innovative way.

Will appreciate if you can please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Regards,

Puneet

Hi Puneet,
It's tricky to evaluate your candidacy for top business schools before you have a GMAT score to add to the mix, but looking at what I see here, I am seeing Darden and perhaps Tuck as your top "reach" schools. I'm not really "feeling" Harvard or Booth. For Tuck, you want to show that you are deeply committed to the Tuck program and location, so a visit to the campus would be a strong statement. Most top MBA programs will want to see some kind of international exposure, and I don't have that information here so I can't evaluate your profile at great depth. School choices are a very complex and important part of your MBA application strategy, so your best bet is, when you have all of your profile material complete, to reach out to a few consulting companies and ask for a one-on-one profile evaluation.

Best of luck,
Margaret Strother
