To some people i am insane cuz this is nearly impossible

I'm 24 years old Canadian residence, Chinese citizen
undergrad at University of Toronto
GPA 2.3
Gmat 620 (Q45/V30/W 6.0) 2nd attempt, 1st attempt even worse
2 years of retail banking working experience as financial advisor

now working as a manager of customer service at the same bank

my reason of doing mba is for career switch.
i want to do marketing.

low gpa (i barely studied during college yrs..)


any school in California possible at all?

UC Irvine/Davis/San diego..etc

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Your academics will indeed make it more challenging for you to get into bschool. UC Irvine's average GPA is 3.4 and their average GMAT 675 - thus making it extremely challenging for you to gain admission. You may wish to consider a program such as Pepperdine that is a bit less competitive for admission.

Another option for you is to enroll in quantitative courses and build an alternate transcript. Taking classes such as statistics or accounting and earning A's can help mitigate concerns the adcom may have about your academic abilities. These courses could also help you raise your GMAT score.
