I would like to share my profile and discuss school options with you.

GMAT History:-
GMAT 1: 600 (Q:49,V:22)
GMAT 2: 620 (Q:48,V:27)
GMAT 3: 580 (Q:50,V:18)
After giving 3 attempts, I could not think of re-taking GMAT anymore

Work Experience:-44 months by the time I join.
Working in Infosys Ltd.
Promotion: Recruited as Systems Engineer Trainee. Promoted to Systems Engineer and now working as a Senior Systems Engineer.
Working in Banking & Capital Markets Division for client Bank of America.

Academics:- Bachelor in Engineering in Electronics & Telecomm.
GPA: 3.6
2nd topper in final year and awarded gold medal
Studied French for 8 years during school.

Extra Curricular Activity:-
Active member of my college IEEE student branch. Served as the Secretary of my college IEEE branch.
Organized various events in my college such as paper presentation.
Awarded Lt. Governor award for my work in Scouts & Guides in 2001.

I feel GMAT score will be an overall low point in my application

One key point: I won't be looking for a job post-MBA in US, as I have to return back to my country due to family constraints.

Can you please suggest some schools.

Thanks for the additional information. I would suggest checking out the following schools in the US and Europe:

Tepper
Boston University
IE
Oxford Said

All of the schools listed above will give you a great education in finance. You should think about other important factors such as class size and location since those are key in narrowing your list.

Hi Stacey,

Thanks for the reply.
Tepper and Boston university were on my list..
But the thing is that my GMAT score seems to be on the lower side as compared to the class profile for these schools..
Although Ad-coms say that they consider the entire application and don't put too much weight on a single component.

What is your take on this?

Hello,

I do agree that your GMAT is on the lower side. However, as a former adcom member I can tell you that GMAT isn't everything. While yours is below average, it's not so far below that it's a deal breaker. I suggest that you spend a lot of time researching your schools and writing some wonderful essays. If an adcom likes your essays and likes you as a candidate it becomes a whole lot easier to overlook a less than stellar GMAT score.
