Hi Jon
I'm a little lost and am looking forward to some real advice from an expert like yourself.
Hope you can look at my profile and give me a reality check.

First things first, my details are as follows-
Age - 29 years
Nationality - Indian
Profession - Doctor, Radiologist
Grad - Medical school
Grad institution - Non-US, University of Mauritius
Work Exp- 5 years since graduation including 3.5 years of radiology residency
International exposure- attended med school and residency in radiology outside of home country.

Decent extracurricular activities.

Short term goals- work in consulting or international business.
Long term- set up my own teleradiology firm that would provide radiology services to the under served areas.

I value the education and experience of established institutions and honestly am willing to attend only one of the best B schools. It has been my dream to attend the likes of Harvard.

I am now targeting INSEAD, HEC, LBS (for their short and highly valued MBA Program)
And HBS (because it's been my dream to be there for almost a decade now)

I appeared for the GMAT today and scored a 690 (Q47, V38, IR 3!)

Could you please give me a fair idea of whether these goals are attainable with a profile like mine?

Thanks a ton in advance.
Have a great day.

Hey there,
So let's help you get unlost!
:)

So the first thing I would wonder as an AdCom member is exactly how realistic your plans are, and I'd like to hear about them in detail. It's one thing to work as a radiologist, and another to start the idea of starting a new business - so I'd like to hear juuuuuust exactly what you plan and how you plan to go about doing it (including whether there are any steps in the short term you will take to make this plan more realistic).

Otherwise your profile looks quite good - there aren't many med school grads who apply for an MBA, and medical devices/pharma/hospital management is a very hot industry these days. So if you can make a convincing argument, I think you should have a shot at the schools you mentioned.

I'd have to know more detail about you and your work, so feel free to drop us a line for a free consultation, and let's see what we can figure out: https://bit.ly/mbafcBTG
