Hi,

Which schools for MS Finance can I target realistically with my profile as below:

Profile:
B.E Industrial Engineering from Mediocre Indian College - 79% - In top 3 of class. First class with Distinction
CFA Level 3 candidate
Work Experience:
1 year (current) at CitiBank in Global Consumer Banking doing Financial Forecasting.
2 years at Mu Sigma in Data Analytics/Data Science
GMAT: 700 (Q49,V37)
Research Analyst certification from NISM
French A1 cleared

Dream Schools:
HEC, LSE, Oxford, MIT.

In case I dont crack it this year then plan to go for MBA Next year for Finance. THOUGHTS?

Hey there,
I'd love to help you out but without more info it's gonna be hard. Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?

All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.


Given your GMAT and middle-grade school ;)... I think you mgiht be aiming a bit high... but let's see...

Thanks for getting back. Please find my response below:

Where do you work?
I work at Citibank. I support North America Credit Cards team and I am a part of Financial Forecasting and Acquisition Strategy team.

What do you do?
I do financial simulations and forecasting for Citi's branded card portfolio. I am responsible for driving investment related decisions worth more than $100MM annually.

How quickly have you advanced?
I was a lead analyst at my previous company. I am at Assistant Manager designation now (total work experience 3 years)

Do you have any leadership?
Evidence of leadership can be demonstrated by my activities both in and out of college. I was the Basketball team captain for my college. Actively engaged in organzing 30-60-90 day meditation camps for people from all over the world. Led a team of 3-4 analysts after just 2 years of experience.

What are your great achievements?
Was topper in 2 semesters in my undergrad. National level basketball player. CFA Level 3 candidate.

Do you have notable community service or extra curricular?
Volunteered for a Big NGO in India, mainly involved in upliftment of underprivileged kids. I then worked for 6 months for a NGO at national level in field of Micro Finance.

Which school did you graduate from?
Nagpur University. CGPA of ~8.5/10
