I request you to evaluate my profile and recommend suitable B schools for pursuing MBA in the US.
Indian - 23 year old Male
Elementary School - 89%
High School - 89.5%
Undergrad - BE Mechanical - CGPA 9.16/10 (From a regional college affiliated to Anna University, which is considered to be one of the top technical universities in India)
During under graduation:
was the chairman of SAE collegiate club
organised various events(technical and cultural) in the college
was part of rotaract club which is a service, leadership and community service organisation
won the best project award (sponsored by Cameron Inc - project done for Roots Industries - Intern)
was second on the list of best outgoing student from the department
was awarded C1/4 advanced level certificate by the University of Cambridge (of the very few ., say about 5., in the college)
was a NCC (National Cadet Cops) cadet in school
Currently Pursuing:
CFA - L2 candidate
Pursuing a 10 week certified course in Finance and Economics from Ross School of Business (online via., coursera.org)
GMAT - Yet to take (Please evaluate considering a score of 700+)
Work Experience - As of now, 1 year in a Management Consulting firm as an Business Analyst (Leading Decision Science/Analytic firm)., Planning to switch and work for a Boutique Investment Bank at least for next two years. Total work experience at time of applying would be close to 3 years
Recommendation - Expecting good recommendations based on personal interactions from manager, director, vertical head.
Post MBA: Interested in pursuing a career in the finance domain
I would like to know if I can apply to Tier 1 Universities (Kellogg, Wharton, Booth etc) with this profile, for I fear that my undergrad school might affect my application.
Kindly revert to me with your views/comments in this regard. I will be grateful if you can include suggestions on how I can improve my profile to make it fit for the top league Universities.
