Hello,

I am trying to enter business school in 2012. I am planning on applying to the following schools: Darden, Duke, UT McCombs, Ross, and UCLA Anderson. I am wondering if these are too far of a reach, or if I have shot. Additionally, if you would recommend any other schools(is five too many or too few?) Do I need to retake my GMAT to be competitive?

Dear talker24,

Based on the profile information you posted, I think your school list is appropriate. You are in a competitive range with your GMAT and have solid professional experience, extracurriculars, and academic performance. Most MBA aspirants apply to 4-6 schools on average. If you were going to add any to your list, you might identify a true safety school as the 5 you are targeting are all reach to reasonable schools for your profile.

Best of luck,
Lisa
