With only these basics, it's tough to make an assessment, but you will definitely have a better chance at the NYU part time program than trying for the full time at Stern with your stats. Having said that, much of the challenge with any part time MBA is your recommendations. If you can get glowing recommendations that are insightful and anecdotal and speak to how you outshine your peers and have a tremendous amount of leadership potential, it will help. GMAT score is good, but not great, but since the PT program does not report its stats to the rankings gods, they can be more flexible. CAsting a good vision to the committee on why you want the MBA and what you plan to accomplish with it afterwards (obviously weaving in how what you have done so far with your post baccalaureate career has prepared you to meet your goals), will be essential.

Thank you Bryant,

From this basic info, do you think that it would be worthwhile to study up retake the GMAT?

My 2 recommendations come from a executive director at UBS and a director at Citigroup, both of them are very supportive, and although I have not seen what they are going to write, I would think them to be stellar.
