Profile Evaluation for MBA

by aashima.m » Fri May 27, 2011 3:46 am
Hi,

I needed help in evaluating my profile for top mba schools.

I have done my BE in Industrial Engineering from University of Mumbai- 64% overall.
I have cleared 2 levels of CFA. Work Ex- 2yrs, 1 yr in a small manufacturing firm, 1yr as a Financial Trainee in Corporate Finance/Institutional equities at ICICI. By this time next yr I would have completed 2 yrs in ICICI. So overall 3 yrs of work ex.

I am planning to take my gmat dis aug. I took my gre last year and got a 1480, toefl-116

At this point my questions are
1. Can i apply to mba schools with my gre o is gmat necessary? I have read on their sites that they accept gre on a case by case basis. So is my case strong enough to help me get in with a gre?

2. Also, avg work ex at most of the top universities for mba is 4-5 yrs. So should i postpone my plan of applying to bschools to next yr?

Look forward to your feedback.

Thank you,

Aashima
