Hi,

My profile:-

1. GMAT 770 with Q51
2. MBA degree in Finance from India with GPA description being graded as between "Good" and "Very Good". The college is ranked in top ten in India and follows very different marking system
3. 67% in Undergrad from University Of Delhi which is ranked No. 1 in India with percentage above first class according to the system followed but below "First class with Distinction" which is 75%. Above 80% marks in Mathematics.
4. CFA level 2 cleared, appearing for L-3
5. FRM part 1 cleared
6. Some India specific finance certifications, one of them having All India Rank 17 amongst around 15k applicants
7. Summer Internship of 2 months at Black Rock in Investment Management which was ranked excellent as per college evaluation. Internship is graded and mandatory part of MBA

Can you please evaluate my chance at LBS mfin, Oxford MFE. I know i am out of comsideration at LSE so i wont apply
I have a good reason of pursuing mfe/mfin after mba as i want a specialized area in the field....,..

2. Okay. But you WILL need to explain why you are applying for a second MBA

3. Good school (although less than IIT). So-so GPA.

4. Nice

6. This is less relevant

7. Also good.


What I am missing form your evaluation is a bit about your volunteer work and extra curriculars, which can help out. I think with a 770 you have a shot at any Finance program if you tell your story right. Even LBS and Oxford (although you should apply to minimum five schools)
