Profile Evaluation for 3 yr work ex 640 GMAT

Hi Sir/Madam,

I gave my GMAT today 640( QA 46, VA 31). I am a business finance grad with 3 yrs of work ex( 6 months in front end operational consulting and then transitioned to a hedge fund trade support) I have decent extra curricular( inter college/school certificates in sports/public speaking/essays etc) and now also part of a social venture for village development( though my contribution is limited) and i write for online websites , part of entrepreneurial club in my city, undertaken a 2 month fin modelling course etc .

Can you pl advise where all i can apply for fall 2013 admissions and have a realistic chance of getting through. I am targeting schools in UK/ Europe(Germany in particular cos i have heard the tuition fee is low plus there r good universities there) or US

You are a bit late for the Fall 2013 applications. My advice to you: Fall 2014.

Don't rush things dude. Take your time. A 640 is not bad, but maybe in the next six months you can boost your score by tens of points, which means you getting into a far better school! Not bad right?? It will also give you time to figure out WHICH schools you want to apply to, and to do some initial research about them.

Thank you so much Jon. I was planning to apply to olin, tepper and simon anyway to get in the applying mode. I did have a talk with admission officer at olin who encouraged me to apply. I dropped the idea to apply to hult couple of months back as i wasnt really sure about the school.

Is it advisable to apply now.

Hmm.. Well ultimately its up to you - what your goals are, what is important to you, where you'd be happy. My tendency would be to say to wait, just because if you apply to one school and get into that one school, then you will never know what might have happened with other schools, and for that you should wait. But, on the other hand if they are interested in you, and the school would help you reach your goals, and you would be happy there, then why not?
