Hi,please evaluate my profile.I am looking to do a 2nd mba from usa or Europe and only from the top 20 bschools in the world. My target year is 2017/2018
10th marks-89%
12th standard marks-91%( graduated in 2008)
UG in engineering from MIT Manipal(2008-2012),marks-73%
Worked as a Business Analyst in Tesco for 2 years
Was promoted once and received many awards for performance .Took many initiatives and introduced automation tools.
Got admitted to 14th ranked Bschool in India in 2014
Was part of student council and organisation committee
Won many case study competitions
Graduated with good grades in 2016
Gpa in mba-5.3/8
Joined as a retail consultant in a fortune 500 IT company in April 2016
Have worked on two key consulting projects till now and have taken many team initiatives for which I have received appreciation mails from the management.

I want to do a 2nd mba from a top ranked world bschool so as to change my geography and get an international exposure in the true sense and also get into strategic consulting roles.
I am turning 25 in December so I believe I can have some advantage with the age

Please give honest suggestions

Dude,
I'd love to help you out, but I need more INFO!!

What's your GMAT? What's your TOEFL?

I need a LOT more info from you - school name, employer name, titles, promotions, greatest achievements, volunteer work, sports, community service, religious involvement, leadership.. etc. before I can give you a real evaluation.

It will also be very helpful if you can elaborate upon your goals.

Have a look at some of the other very detailed profile requests on this board and do something similar and I'll be happy to get back to you.

Best,
JF

Hey dude,
Good to hear from you!

So it's still very hard to evaluate you without a GMAT but let me take a shot at it.

Right now you have some very good stuff in your profile (your volunteer work notably) but some weaknesses too (your school, the fact that you have an MBA, Being IT/Male/Indian, and your MBA GPA). I think this would safely place your target school list in the 10-30 range if you are able to score a 720.

I think the biggest challenge for you will be to come across as unique and original Your profile is very good, but sounds like many may other profiles that are similar, so to truly be successful in your applications, you will need to find a way to come ALIVE in your application and jump off that page as a desirable candidate.

Good luck on your GMAT!
when are you taking it?

Best,
Jon Frank
